Course Description
This course is the next step in FDMI’s discipleship training program following our Discipleship Takes Vision and Strategy course. Our purpose in this course is to educate and train everyone pursuing discipleship training in basic teachings of the Christian faith. Regardless of how long you have been a Christian and regardless of your level of education or training in the Bible, you are welcome to take part in this course. Pastors, students pursuing pastoral ministry, and leaders serving the church that may already have some level of training in the Bible are of course also welcome. The goal is not only to learn these basic Christian doctrines for yourself but also to become better equipped to disciple other believers in learning them. To this end, this course covers seven foundational teachings of the Christian faith, which include the following topics:
- Jesus the Son
- God the Father
- The Holy Spirit
- Spiritual growth and maturity
- Forgiveness and reconciliation
- Spiritual warfare
- Death and the end times
Christian Foundational Truths (CFT) is an 8-week long course. Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate of completion from FDMI.
