Course Description
Parenting is a Ministry (PIAM), consists of 4 modules, each conducted over an 8-week period. This series will guide parents who may not have had good examples, and will provide the biblical principles and truths that give clarity to God’s will and purpose for parenting, providing a clear game plan to raise children to that desirable destination of godly maturity. Beyond that, the series is also intended to be a tool to disciple others. In his Word, God shows us not only his purposes for parenting but also how to establish a foundation for successful parenting. Specific examples are presented for how parents are to minister to their children, along with practical illustrations to help you implement the principles you are learning.
Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate of completion from FDMI.

This module is the first of a four-part teaching series based on our discipleship training in the area of parenting. In module 1 you will learn how to minister to your children by establishing a strong foundation of biblical priorities.

In module 2 you will learn how to love each child as a unique gift from God and reflect His character in your home.

In module 3 you will learn the essentials of discipling your children, supported by the principle that discipline and training are most effective when a healthy relationship exists between parent and child.”
